This ad for Splatterhouse both terrified and fascinated me as a pint sized DC Comics fan. Granted, the CapriSun ads also terrified and fascinated me, but there was something super brain-magnetty about this TurboGrafx ad. Maybe that’s why the console didn’t take off. They made ads that appealed to six year olds that wanted to find out if Guy Gardner would finally G’nort as his pal. In other words, a demographic without a lot of spending power in the year 1990. Still, it’s one bad ass looking thing for a kid to stumble across in a comic book.
